reimagining the gitxsan lawscape for the next generation
Our mission is to uphold the Ayookxwm Gwelx Ye’enst, the Gitxsan law dedicated to preserving a thriving House family and territory for future generations.
Working collaboratively across 33,000 square kilometres of unceded territory, 60 House families, four clans, and six villages, we provide confidential advisory services guided by the Gitxsan legal principles of democratic decision-making and consent.

Advisors you can trust.
Our team provides a range of direct services to Gitxsan House families and non-Gitxsan partner organizations, including:
Gwelx Ye’enst Governance Plans
We support Gitxsan Wilp and House families in developing private, culturally grounded governance plans rooted in ayook, adaawk, matrilineal genealogies, and territorial histories.
Drawing on a collaborative network of Gitxsan hereditary leaders, matriarchs, community knowledge keepers, scholars, writers, and artists, we shape plans that resonate with each Wilp’s relationships, responsibilities, and priorities. Together, we ensure sustainable House governance for future generations.
Gitxsan Models of ESG & Climate Risk Reports
As a 100% Gitxsan-owned climate-activist advisory firm, we ground every project in the laws, governance systems, and responsibilities of Lax’yip (Territories). Our approach strives for green, regenerative, and relational solutions that reflect Gitxsan commitments to land, water, and future generations.
We provide specialized ESG, procurement, and climate-risk advisory services to governmental, corporate, and community partners. Our value-added solutions are designed to help organizations reduce provincial, national, and global carbon footprints while aligning with:
- UNDRIP & DRIPA implementation
- Nature-based climate mitigation grounded in Indigenous law
- Community-driven environmental stewardship
Through this work, we advance true climate accountability, strengthen place-based decision-making, and support transitions toward low-carbon futures informed by Gitxsan knowledge and governance.
Indigenous Rights & Resurgence Services
We help clients secure the resources and structural foundations necessary to advance the TRC’s 94 Calls to Action, the 231 Calls for Justice, the 46 Articles of UNDRIP, and BC’s DRIPA legislation. Grounding every initiative in Indigenous law and governance systems, we align funding, policy, and strategic planning with priorities defined by Indigenous communities themselves.
Amid the rapid growth of Canada’s multi-billion-dollar Indigenous economy, this work opens the door to transforming the legal landscape, strengthening Indigenous jurisdiction, and building new pathways for economic sovereignty and legal resurgence.

“The Gwelx Ye’enst Advisory Group helped secure $300,000 in grants for three House families to rebuild our governance systems. Their Wilp-based approach to planning is key to our future as a sovereign people.”
